Here I spend most of my time. I started working on this place in 1989 when it was very dilapidated. During the reconstruction in 1998, although I radically changed the layout, I tried to maintain as much of the original condition as possible (e.g., including the plaster). I reconstructed everything myself, except for the windows, doors and stairs. In 2004 I extended the attic. The walls are of mud bricks, the clay directly dug out in the garden; the coherence of the original hand-hewn beams is secured only with slender wooden studs. Downstairs, where I work, there is the original floor, where my grandfather was born in 1908...
